La Plaza de Cibeles es uno de los espacios más transitados y emblemáticos de Madrid. Se sitúa en un cruce muy importante de avenidas, creando una plaza cuyo hervidero cultural es notable. Esta rotonda circular representa a  Cibeles, diosa de la fertilidad, el poder, la naturaleza y la abundancia.

Rodeada por edificios emblemáticos como el Palacio de Cibeles, hoy sede del Ayuntamiento de Madrid, y de tiendas y restaurantes, es un punto neurálgico tanto para locales como para turistas.

Inaugurada en 1782, su silueta y majestuosa escultura se han convertido en símbolo identitario madrileño.

José Luis Tejedor representa la permanencia de los espacios frente al movimiento efímero de sus individuos en su serie fotográfica Tránsito, donde a través de la técnica de la sobreexposición el artista crea sobre transparencias que definen el flujo de los transeúntes, creando un acabado casi pictórico sobre sus composiciones fotográficas impresas sobre papel de algodón.

Surrounded by iconic buildings such as the Palacio de Cibeles, now home to Madrid's City Hall, as well as shops and restaurants, it serves as a central hub for both locals and tourists.

José Luis Tejedor represents the permanence of spaces in contrast to the fleeting movement of individuals in his photographic series Tránsito. Through the technique of overexposure, the artist creates transparencies that define the flow of passersby, achieving an almost painterly finish in his photographic compositions printed on cotton paper.
